Martyna Szczęsna / Julian G. Davis



 Martyna Szczęsna (b. 1984 in Olsztyn, Poland) is a Brooklyn based multimedia artist whose work spans photography, installation and glass. Szczęsna immigrated to the United States in the early nineties, and has since received a BFA from the Cooper Union for the Arts and Sciences and an MFA in Photography from the University of California, Los Angeles. Her work has been supported by residencies at Penumbra Foundation, Yucca Valley Material Lab, Franconia Sculpture Park, Bullseye Glass, AZ West as well as the AIM program at the Bronx Museum. Select exhibitions include: Portrait of a Landscape, Museo Sivori, Buenos Aires; The Third Bronx Biennial, Bronx Museum, NY; Flat Touch, Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY; and Palliative Geometries, Dorsky Projects, LIC.

Martyna Szczęsna ( urodzona w 1984 roku w Olsztynie ) obecnie mieszka i pracuje w Brooklynie w NY. Jest artystką multimedialną. W swoich pracach łączy fotografię, instalację i szkło. Martyna wyemigrowała do USA w latach 90 i tam ukończyła  Cooper Union for the Arts and Sciences oraz otrzymała MFA z fotografii na Uniwersytecie Kalifornijskim w Los Angeles. Brała udział w rezydencjach Penumbra Foundation, Yucca Valley Material Lab, Franconia Sculpture Park, Bullseye Glass, AZ West oraz w programie AIM at the Bronx Museum. Ponadto uczestniczyła w wielu wystawach, między innymi : “Portrait of a Landscape” w Museo Sivori, w Buenos Aires; The Third Bronx Biennial, Bronx Museum, NY; Flat Touch, Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY; and Palliative Geometries, Dorsky Projects, LIC.




Julian Gilbert-Davis (b. Chicago, IL) received his BFA from CalArts in 2008 and his MFA from Rutgers University in 2018. He previously served as a lecturer at the Yale School of Art. His work has been exhibited at MOCA Tucson, AZ; Locust Projects, Miami, FL; Bakehouse Art Complex, Miami, FL; the Zimmerli Museum, New Brunswick, NJ; and the New Haven Museum, New Haven, CT, among others.

Julian Gilbert-Davis urodzony w Chicago otrzymał BFA na CalArts w 2008 roku a nastepnie MFA na Rutgers University w 2018 roku. Pracował, jako wykładowca w Yale School of Art. Jego prace pokazywane były między innymi w MOCA Tucson, AZ; Locust Projects, Miami, FL; Bakehouse Art Complex, Miami, FL; the Zimmerli Museum, New Brunswick, NJ; and the New Haven Museum, New Haven, CT.
